Pure Happiness on the Trail!

This is THE TRAIL! - Not just any trail but MY TRAIL! I live alongside a forest in South West Florida. The forest obviously is not photoed here but is on the right of this picture!  This is the trail that commands my soul currently. I've been trying to get out pretty early to beat the heat as much as possible. 5 miles - on the dime!  I've noticed with my recent return to Pure Barre, my stomach is SUPER STRONG. - Stronger than it has ever been. I have this iron core that helps me HANG ON in runs that  I really appreciate! I'm done fiddling around with all kinds of workouts - I think I'm my best with Pure Barre and Running or Elliptical. But honestly - I think what has helped me over the edge recently to see some solid improvements is my diet change.
- I've been really paying attention to making sure I down some dark green leafy veggies daily. I've restricted my caloric intake and I'm drinking more water and tea. unsweetened.

- I've always been somewhat shy of showing my tummy - so tend to gravitate toward flowy loose tops - NO MORE!!
- I'm wearing my tank top proudly now! Showing off the fact that I TOO CAN HAVE A WAISTLINE!!
- Joining the ranks of waistline people is pretty much the massively HUGE accomplishment for me lately. - I've always been told how beautiful my legs are etc - but I don't care lol I want to have a trim belly! The world starts and stops around this possibility!!!!!!
-
ok I know I'm being dramatic - but. . .. hey I'm Min.

Also - I finally fit into a Pure Barre tank top - I know its no big deal with many - but they always only sold tops for teeny tiny pb girls! What about us battleaxe tuckers?!!! Can't we represent too?!
- well. .. I guess so, if I mash myself into parameters.
- Its odd that the single desire to fit into a DAMN tank top that says PURE BARRE, can escalate and morph into this ALL IMPORTANT mini goal.. . but there it is. tank 1. down.
I have plans to fit into all the the other damn pb tops I've gotten in the past without realizing a Large is really a juniors large UGH.
but - . . . it keeps me trending down!
-There is a huge awkward nakedness that goes along with wearing a tank top out and about with people looking at you - without that comfort blanket! that shield!
- I know its ridiculous. . .  but it is what it is.
- Until next time- still loving pure barre- still trucking along for the disney wine and dine half marathon!!!! take care.

  1. Howdy, fellow Lulu fan! I thought I'd check out your lovely blog and couldn't resist commenting on this post. First of all, what a gorgeous trail you have! I gotta admit I'm more than a little jealous. Glad you're out there taking advantage of it. And I completely get that fitting into a cute little tank could be good motivation. Whatever it takes! I'm sure you're rocking that tank. Keep up the good work!

  2. Hey Minda & Sourkraut!
Missed both of you at the other blog. I've been kinda like "not as chatty" over there lately and I miss my "regular" buds. So, I thought I'll lurk arourd here and lo and behold, I found Sourkraut here too!!! :)

You go Min! Wear that tank and wear it proud! :) Lovely trail too. I live in right smack downtown. Small downtown, but downtown nonetheless. Pretty walk with my dog, (it is a nice "walking downtown") but I doubt that it will put you in that zen-like state while running and trying to avoid pedestrian and traffic at the same time. :(

Have a good day, you both. Keep on PB-ing and running Min and keep on clicking the Nikon, baking(yummy drool.....), and running too Sourkraut. Will keep in touch! ;D

    1. yogibabe! I miss posting there and miss all the gals but heard about some crazy stuff that went down while I was out of town last weekend. LLA wound up taking every post down from that time but apparently someone found a nasty, racist post she'd made on another site a while back and things got heated as everyone wanted an explanation from her. Fortunately, a couple of gals contacted me later to tell me about it and, sure enough, the original post is still out there for all the world to see even if last week's hullabaloo was deleted. I've felt uncomfortable posting there ever since. I'll admit I can't resist occasionally checking the comments but wouldn't feel right truly supporting and posting there again.

Sorry to hijack your blog, Minda! I just wanted to make sure she knows what's going on.

    2. Oh boy! Saw it now....No wonder I can't find my "birthday" posts. All those are gone now. Sometimes I just don't read everything that went down on a particular thread, too many negative posts to weed through. Blinders don't do anyone any good. I have to do the same. I'll refrain from posting there. Feel bad because I really do enjoy the companionship of you all,(lots that I can name that I will surely miss). I wonder what she'll say. Not addressing it or deleting it actually speaks louder than words. I'm proud of your post, Sourkraut! Guess we'll meet here, if Minda doesn't mind. :) (p/s: It's yogibabe here, in case this post comes out as from "Anonymous". Still learning how to post here. I'm quite challenged in this department...Sheesh!)

  3. I mostly lurk on LLA but also have been checking out your blog because I love your positivity, minda! I'm working on losing some baby weight, and your enthusiasm is infectious. I hope you're enjoying your trail and PB. One of these days I need to try it out. Basically all I do is run, but it isn't doing much for my belly!

  4. Hi there!! Sorry I've been MIA! - sister was in town for a visit! - Feel free to post around here if you like! I'm happy to read your comments on any topic! I was also curious what was happening over on LLA, also felt somewhat OFF from posting since it got pretty negative. I just click over to check the pics but haven't been reading the comments!

  5. Ah! So glad you're back Minda! I was getting a little worried there, with you MIA for a while. :)

Min and Sour, I wore my ziggy wee flare WUC and currant Virtuous tank to class today. So cute!!! Everybody kept on touching my legs, so much so that I threatened to start charging them if they don't stop it! :) I hope the other two ziggy (caspian and grey) will be available in the WUC soon. LOVE!

I ordered the angel blue NLT on upload night. Sour, I thought of you when I ordered it last last night. I knew that you like the NLT too. I thought it would look pretty with your coloring, albeit the color seemed a little bit "summerish". The bordeaux drama (lulu colors are always full of "drama"!) is pretty on all, imo. Waiting for it in some other tanks, other than the Turbo. Just never took a liking to that tank!

    Did you guys order anything?

    1. Hehe! I'm just picturing the scene you caused in class with your WUC. Too cute!

I'm so new to Lulu that the Turbo tank is new to me. I'll admit I'm intrigued by it but not enough to buy blindly. I'll try it on in my store next time I'm there. It looks kind of plain in the front and like it could cause back fat issues with the way it's cut.

I saw lots that I wanted but restrained myself (there's a first time for everything!) and only ordered the angel blue CRB and the bordeaux WUs. I really hope the pants work out for me because that sort of color looks great on me. I'm picturing them tucked into boots with a cozy sweater in the fall. I almost pulled the trigger on the angel blue NLT too but couldn't justify buying two tanks in the same color on the same day. I hope you like yours, though.

    2. I am upset I missed out on the ziggy WUs. They sound awesome and sooo soft. Were they hot?? But I did order the energy bra in currant and angel....it was restocked this morning. I am going to our new showroom tomorrow to try on the turbo tank. I love the angel blue color. I also ordered the nothing to hide crops on WMTM. I need some more luxtreme crops, and the price was kinda right. I have a hard time spending more the $80 on crops. But, I love their luxtreme ones. I really wanted the flare tonka stripe CRB but waited too long to pull the trigger. Oh well. They may have it at our showroom. I think showrooms are soooo unpredictable, but I am so grateful we have one. As Forest Gump once stated, "it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get." Right? Take care ladies. Enjoy your day.

    3. Hi, Kristin! Glad you found us all hiding over here. I neglected to mention that last week I too ordered the Nothing to Hide crops. I tried them on in the store and really liked the wide waistband that can be folded down and the subtle little ruffle but didn't *need* another pair of crops. Plus I noticed that people weren't snapping them up online. So I waited on the off chance they made it to WMTM. Sure enough, they still had every size available with the lilac waistband so I snapped them up on sale. Just got them in the mail yesterday and am so pleased with them. Even more pleased with myself for being so patient. I'm sure you'll be happy with them too.

    4. Kristin! :) The ziggy WUC is soft but not too thick. But mind you, I didn't run in it. My class yesterday was a nice, strong flow and am happy to report that I didn't feel too hot. The herringbone one from last year is thicker, imo! Hey, I'm still holding out hope that we'll see the other two ziggy colors in the crops and when that happens, grab them quick! BTW, it is TTS for me.

I also bought the tonka stripe flare Power Y. I don't mind the newer, longer, luon light version, just as long as it is "not see-through, showing cups and spots of the bra liner" like the white of the mirage print. I heard the color is so pretty. Excited! :)

I'm waiting for the angel blue Define and Free To Be bra that are now available on the Oz/NZ and Canadian sites, respectively. I passed on the angel blue Energy bra as it is a bit "overkill" for my A cups. The Free To Be is more my "cup" of tea. Sorry, excuse the bad pun! ;) Also am hoping for more of these new colors in the Scoop Me Ups. If the Scoop Me Up comes in bordeaux, Sourkraut and I will jump for it, right Sourkraut? :)

  6. I am so glad I found where you guys were hiding. It's Kristin. Hey there ladies. I hope all is well w/ everyone. I have cut-back on posting on LLA. The negativity was horrendous. It made my stomach turn. I try to avoid drama as much as possible.
I must echo what Erica said.....your positivity is so uplifting and your amazing personality shines through on your funny posts. So, thanks for putting a smile on my face.

    1. Hiya Kristin! Glad you found us here. I've been trying to channel some sort of signal to you, willing you to search us out. I guess it worked as we are somehow connected by our leo-ness! :)

I am also only replying to my other lulu pals at the other site. There are my Swiss and Singapore ladies that usually will ask me direct questions and I'm happy to help them out. Love my other nice lulu friends there and I miss them too, but that's all I'll do for the time being.

Glad that Minda is gracious enough to let us chat here. Minda, you are always so sweet and positive and brighten up my day with your chats. Thanks a bunch, babe! :)
