Last night I attended a special 100 Tuck Club class and was given this tank top! This class was designed for those who have attended 100 plus classes at our Sarasota Pure Barre.
Since my package is coming to an end, I am really paying attention to the pros and cons of every workout I've been experiencing lately - so that I can get as much BANG for my BUCK!
I've taken over 150 classes at Pure Barre and Anna has taken over 220!
So -we GET the technique! . . .Though I get it , it NEVER became easy because each class you are expected to push yourself to your own shake point. By shake point, I mean the place where you are muscle fatiguing and your legs are shaking!
The 100 Tuck class was a major BURNER. Both of the owners were involved with teaching the class, one directing us through and the other zooming all around the classroom adjusting people and pushing them further into challenging positions.
I really enjoyed taking the 100 tuck class with all of the most familiar faces I've seen over the past several months and all the new friends I've made.
The moves we were put through definitely ramped up the daily norm of what was called P1 for us. P1 meaning level 1 Pure Barre technique.
The Higher Level of difficulty of this class has been called P2 (level 2). It involves the use of a double banded ring tube. Think two circular tube bands that interlock.
-We would double this up and step into them increasing resistance as we pulsed legs out or down depending on body position. We would also use this in the arms segment and abs.
It was a challenging class - I'm glad I went! Though I love Pure Barre and all the things I've learned along the way with it - it is not one stop shopping! You NEED to do cardio with this class. You just do. It will help you tone up as well as build core strength and give you a general overall sense of daily well being - seeing that it is a low impact class it is great to do daily. But doing some light jogging or elliptical is perfect compliment off day for this class.

Sorry girls, I've been slacking in keeping up with our chats here. What's with thew new school year (my son's a SENIOR!!!! Yikes!), senior portrait session (they want it when?!), my shoulders being wonky and I don't even know why (apparently I have 3 right ribs that are not mobile right now and that caused the muscles around the scapula to do "the tighten up". Chiropractor, massage therapist and yoga theraphy are all bent on getting me better so that I can enjoy my yoga intensives in Berkeley and Portland end of Sept and early October, at least they are doing their best! Otherwise it's que sera, sera.....I'll persevere. )
ReplyDeleteBut, it's not all ouchies and long faces. I had a lovely mani/pedi session with one of the girls, last Saturday (another super-extended birthday celebration!). Still admiring my lovely my French manicure on the fingers and toes. :) And I've been enjoying Sourkaut's lulu's #WTFSEPT photography challenge. Check out her blog, girls. She's good and funny to boot!!! ;)
On another topic, happy to report that my currant Coco Softshell arrived today and....it's just too cute! My husband chuckled and smiled...admiring my "fashion model strut", modelling the Chanel look. He's very pleased that I got it. :) I had a feeling that it's going to work that I ordered another one in bordeaux drama, when that color made it to WMTM this morning, before the currant one arrives. Just didn't want my size to sell out if I were to wait till later in the evening. You know how it is with lulu items! I also got another of the Tie & Fly tank in black. Loved my first in flash. Lots of other goodies too in WMTM.
Min, I hope your Sept workout plan is going well. The 100 Tuck Club class sounds hardcore. But the energy of a good class work always pulls you through the hard parts. :)
Talk to you girls later! Have a good night. :)
Hey Minda,
ReplyDeleteI see it's been a couple of weeks since your last post but I wanted to encourage you to include your "training journal" into your blog. Your last few posts were about your training and although it's fun to look cute while we exercise, it's the exercise/training that really helps us feel cute, no matter what we wear! The first few years I started training regularly I trained in my jeans! No Lululemon!
I've got a pair of boots on my wish list, and every time I think about them I think that the would look so bad ass on you!

Personally I want them in black, but I have a couple of pairs of boots that I don't wear enough to justify yet another pair....but then if I would just stop buying Lulu for a couple of weeks...viola! Boots! I know you just got a pair of Fryes you love...but a girl can want more! Right? And my Lulu spending has decreased at least 75% since all of the bullshit quality/see through issues....and let's not forget all of the crazy ugly crap recently...oops, did I say that outloud?
Keep training girlie! You have so much goodness to share and I think, if you were interested, you could build a solid audience for you "style"! "MindaStyle"! You go!
